Hello,

you will need wine which is a program that allows you to run some windows program on Linux.

Then you have to look at the wine application database to see if your application is supported:

A native version of Matlab for linux is also available, I use it and it works well.

Try to use repositories from debian http://pkg-octave.alioth.debian.org/#packages
