Unable to mount KODAK EasyShare C813 Zoom Digital Camera

When I plug in my Kodak c813 digital cam in ubuntu 8.04 ,It could not mount automatically. How can i mount it. please help me ?

does the cli pick up the camera?
in terminal run:
lsusb

this will tell you if ubuntu 'sees' the usb, if it does than it should give you a dev location in which you can mount manually.
using the mount cmd:
terminal:
mkdir /mnt/camera
mount /dev/device_location_the_above_cmd_gave /mnt/camera
(the device name will be something like /dev/sdb.

i am assuming you have a memory card inside your camer in which ubuntu will give the dev location

Go to package manager and install F-Spot Photo Manager.
Download photos from camera using F-Spot Program
Worked for me using 9.1
Ubuntu 9.04 had this program pre-loaded.
