printers dont work

I Have two Brother Printers , There Model Numbers are Brother DCP-330c and MFC-440cn and they both dont work with Ubuntu 9.04 it tells me there ready to print and go though all the motions but then doesn't print from either printer ,so can some tell me how I can get them to work with ubuntu 9.04 and please put it in plain English

you can install the drive through synaptic it is called brother-caps-wrapper-bh7 please try to install other drivers for brother...i don't know where i got the repository for this but please try to enable all available sources check them all even in third-pary tab and reload look for see brother printer packages

Hi
I had the same problem
I rang brother they have great support and the run Ubuntu so give them a ring and all there drivers are on the web site look for the Linux page and them your driver you will need the cupwrapper and the LPR ( I think that what there called they are both there together)
install LPR first then the cupwrapper
