NO DSL CONECTION IN 9.10 -NETWORK MANAGER ALWAYS GIVES NOT CONNECTED

Asked by Axl2008

Iǘe updated my Acer Laptop from 9-04 to 9.10
Since then ,I cannot connect to internet by a DSL connection that was perfectly working till the update.
The network manager tries to connect , but always results in Not Connected msg.
All the posts at the forum about this topics have no solution for this problem.
It is a bug of teh new version , but there is no patch yet?
meanwhile , I cannot work, connect. I should have left 9.04.
Roll back is an option or will it be a solution?

just open network connection and do the configuration...
SYSTEM.Preferences>Network Connection>wired>MAC address xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx then MTU as automatic then tick the box connect automatically
click ipv4 settings tab and make Method as DHCP
Apply and come out

You should know the mac address of your nic card for doing the configuration... seems to me your hardware ie NIC is not detected that is why whole problem is there.

Can you help with this problem?
