Very Low Sound Output from MYTH TV Under UBUNTU 9.10
After I installed UBUNTU 9.10 and MYTH TV, I had very low sound output. With the volume full up, I could barely hear anything from my speakers. Plugging a headset into the speakers confirmed sound was coming through. The computer has an ECS PT890T-A motherboard with built in sound and removable SATA hard drives. When plugged into this computer, my drive with UBUNTU 9.04 and the previous version of MYTH TV has ample sound output to drive the speakers above room listening volume. I compared the audio settings between the two installs and confirmed MYTH audio was configured identically (with the exception of the new field “Passthrough output device:”). The settings for both systems are shown below with the older MYTH settings on the [Left] and the corresponding new MYTH settings on the {Right} I also confirmed that I had the sound set to full up (System>
