Mouse freezes after 5-10 minutes of use. Mouse: Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 USB

Asked by Eric Gives Hugs

I've loaded ubuntu onto a new harddrive (only 80GB).
I'm new to linux and I don't know a thing. But I'm willing to learn.
Anyways, after about 5-10 minutes of starting up my computer (right now im on windows) my mouse freezes. It's a USB mouse.
It works for the first while then just stops.

Mouse is a Microsoft IntelliMouse 3.0 USB.
Any suggested fix/coding that I could place in?

Please also perform a deep memory test, please run it for all night long, using the item on first menu list at pc boot.

Press ESC when you see the GRUB row at pc boot... to view and to use the menu.

Hope this helps
