Ubuntu 9.10 x64 alternate wrong /dev uuid

Asked by Cristian Tala

On a fresh install of Karmic Koala x64 ( 9.10 ), with the alternate install.

The system will not start due to a ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xx$ does not exist .

Try lots of methods:

*Edit the fstab to use the device instead the uuid.
*edit the grub.

Can't solve the problem.

PD: A strange problem happends with the desktop version. I can't deactivate the SATA RAID DEVICE .
