Connecting to internet

Asked by sammy

I bought my wife a Dell mini for Christmas last year and I have been trying to mess around with it. I logged on and she had something like 250 updates so I connected to my wireless network and started downloading them. This is where the problem began, it stopped dowloading gave me some error messages, and I havent been able to connect to the internet since. I have been trying to find a solution for about 4 hours on the internet but I am just getting more lost. I am a windows user so I am not that familiar with the Ubuntu system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.
