support for AR5006X wifi in ubuntu

Is my Atheros AR5006X adapter supported by ubuntu 9.10 ? Its just that i have seen a lot of ubuntu users having issues with the wifi. I have a Compaq c772tu laptop and thinking of shifting to ubuntu being really frustrated with my windows vista.

I suspect Atheros will be well supported by 9.10
