skype for linux mid not working in ubuntu jaunty says p2p conection failed

hello im using ubuntu jaunty i installed skype for linux mid through synaptic package manager for some reason when i go to sighn in it sayas p2p conection failed it worked fine when i had ubuntu jaunty insistalled inside windows but i was so sick of windows that i erased my hard drive now i just have ubuntu jaunty everything else works the same but skype i know its some thing simple please help thank you

Ok, to install Skype you really should follow the steps listed here at, http://gwos.org/udsf/doku.php/software:skype. It's a doc I wrote based on a community doc found here at, https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Skype Hope it helps.
