not able to connect to internet 9.10

am unable to connect to internet - reliance mobile broadband- huwai EC1260.
tried a lot but in vein. plz help..
no error message.. just telling u r offline. unable to connect.

this is happening after i upgrade to 9.10 via online few days b4.

plz help asap.

I'm trying for almost a week now , and no solution how to connect to Internet using EC1260 modem?!

Pl let me know when this will be fixed

Atlast all of sudden I'm able to connect my reliance mobile broadband- huwai EC1260 !

This is how it worked

I downloaded gnome-ppp and wvdial and related 3 more files from launchpad individually and added files from pendrive to local directory and added files to update manager to install gnome-ppp

This also didnt work initially

Then I tried as root!

I got the Authentication Error

then changed password for root

using sudo -i

and then $passwd
changed password

now running gnome-ppp from root in terminal connects me to internet at super speed as usual,

But all this workaround is still annoying for new users.

Since I was adamant to somehow make my broadband work made me to connect internet.

Ubuntu developers can fix kernel issues related to this usb problem and soon fix this with high priority!
