down loaded ubuntu - now what

Asked by cgsanders

what do I do with this program? It doesn't load automatically and doesn't do anything. I was advised to download Ubuntu when I was looking to upgrade my windows so I could access a faster media player for instant movies on Netflix. Is there a 'Getting Started' page? The only way I've been able to access anything is to go to Ubuntu.com. Shouldn't it be automatic when I boot up? feel like this was a waste of space on my pc. Don't want to think that-so-what now?

Thanks for your question,

You should burn the .iso file you downloaded on a cd:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

Then you need to tell your bios to boot from the cd:

Can you help with this problem?
