system freezes from time to time

when I'm working on the internet (playing games), the system freezes. Other times it just freezes when i start a program or when I'm in the middle of something. At first, when i installed Ubuntu and i ran the system update and it froze, so i had to reinstall the system.

PLEASE HELP APPRECIATE IT.
