Connect to Windows xp on the same computer???

Asked by atty391

I have a pc with ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) AND Windows xp ( With dual boot). I need to connect to the windows part while working on Ubuntu on the same computer, say..if I need to take a look at some important file..I am aware of mounting the xp media and looking at the file, but i need to do this, something similar to Remote Access, but not on two different pcs. Naturally, both the operating systems have only one internet connection.....please help!!!

In Applications --> Add/Remove ... you can choose to install NTFS Configuration Tool (you'll find it after installation in System --> Administration --> NTFS Configuration Tool) which can help you to access the files on Win partition.

This is a resource on how to mount win partitions in Ubuntu.

Good luck.
