jaunty is shutting down when many applications are running at the same time

it seems the temperature of the pc is rising too much with the 2.5 gb ram when i run fireftp,audio converter and a shoutcast broadcast at the same time

  how do i avoid the pc shutdown in this way..

Most PCs shut down it a critical temperature is reached to prevent damage.
As mentioned in your other request you may have a serious problem.
Deactivating this security feature could damage your system beyond repair.

Then also run a memory check pressing ESC at pc boot when you see the grub row...

Please select the item:

Ubuntu ..., memtest86+

and leave the pc running for many hours to get a deep memory test... or stop it when/if you read red messages.
If you read red messages your memory is damaged, please replace the damaged stick.

If you have more than one stick inserted in your motherboard ask here (please make a new question...) on how to individuate the damaged one.
