Remove Application

I had installed the latex editor kile. After I have removed it using Add/Remove programms when I click with the right mouse button on some .tex-file and go to "Open with..." again kile is displayed as a possibility. When I choose it, nothing happens, of course, because kile is already removed.
So my question is, how to make a program disappear from this menu, after I have uninstalled it?

You can right click on an .tex-file and go to Properties->Open With and you remove the application you no longer want. You can also select the default associated program for that file type.
