Asked by arun06_d

I keep receiving error messages stating that my memory is low and my partition is in 100% usage.I don't have any pictures downloaded and can't think of much that I've downloaded period. I bought this computer this past Christmas so it shouldn't be giving problems so soon. I can't install updates either. I need some advice or suggestions please. Thanks, Twyla Downs

You appear to have run out of hard drive space on your Ubuntu partition. This isn't anything we can fix in the way of an update, but this is a valid problem for you nonetheless. I am converting this to a support question in the hopes that you can get the assistance you need. Thanks for understanding, and have a nice day.

Hi :)

Is this a dell mini10 or another cute netbook?

During bootup do you get a menu offering lots of choices for booting into Ubuntu? If not then pressing "Esc" key a few times while booting up should get you to this menu. Choose the 2nd choice for ubuntu, the one with "recovery mode" near the end of it's line. This should get you to a menu which has options such as "Clear some space" and "Resume normal bootup". When you do get to the normal desktop please try emptying your wastebin and go to your email browser to empty the wastebin in there too. If you can delete off some old emails and empty the wastebin there that can often help especially if anyone has sent camera phots to you. I don't know why cameras are set to automatically give such huge file-sizes.

Hopefully something here helps!
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
