Can I Use Unbuntu Server for Firewall

I need to setup a firewall. I would like to know if i can use Ubuntu 9.04 with Endian firewall?

It seems Endian Firewall comes as a hardware/software appliance. You can probably get it running as a Virtual Machine, but I guess that is not what you want.

You might have more luck using Shorewall or fwbuilder.

You can easily setup a router / firewall using ubuntu server. You could even add other services like a bittorrent client using rtorrent / transmission-deemon.

The possibilities are endless.
