Upgrade probelm

Asked by Ziaagikian

Hello Sir

I wana to upgrade kubuntu 8.10 to 9.04, In the begining it worked well but last I stuck. The problem is that the place where I am working is that here "sex" is filtered by the server and automatiacally no search is occured relating to "sex". So the error is that at last step of "Getting new softwares " the upgrade process abort. The syntax is that

Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/libs/libsexy/libsexy2_0.1.11-2_i386.deb 403 Forbidden

I here attach the screenshot of my desktop.

So with Best Regards

Only thing I can think of is to talk with your server admin and explain him/her what you want to do and see if he/she is willing to help you.

About six months ago I was installing Firefox and I was stuck in downloading "libsexy". So by typing

apt-get install -f

the firefox was installed. Is there any command relating to distribution-upgrading???

You may want to try downloading the package (libsexy) from another computer, then copying it to the computer you are trying to work with. As it isn't transmitted from the workplace's Internet connection, it shouldn't be blocked. The gdebi package installer should launch when you double-click the downloaded .deb file.

By the way, you have a duplicate of this question (double-click, maybe?) at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/83975 - I'm not sure if it's possible to delete questions, but if you don't mind, please try to remove that question.

Can you help with this problem?
