black screan on restart or shutdown ubuntu 9.04

Hi, i am from Serbia and i installed ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop. Anyway, i do not know is this a problem or not but i have "problem" with shuting down or restarting the computer. There is now unloading screan, just black screan until the computer is down. Is this a problem that should be woried about or not?

Hi, and thank you for your question.

It sounds like your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file may not be configured as well as it could be; however, as long as the computer does shut down or restart when you tell it to, I don't think there should be a problem.

Just for curiosity, when it is shutting down and you get a blank screen, try pressing Control+Alt+F1. It may show something going on. It really shouldn't be a problem though.
