ABC.com does not support Linux

I want to watch the episodes on-line, on ABC.com but their new video player is not compatible with Linux, only windows xp. What can I do?

Our new video player is only available for:

    * Windows XP/Vista - Internet Explorer, Firefox
      Mac - Firefox, Safari.

This is a good example of how NOT to design a website. They shouldn't assume that it's not going to work just because your browser/OS isn't in their list. I'd contact them and complain.

You'll probably be able to watch it if you use Firefox, download an extension that spoofs the user-agent string and change it to Firefox/Windows.

PS. Mine says I can't watch the video because I'm outside the US.

Ryan, I couldn't agree more. Just some additional info:
It look s like a video player which is used by some networks lately (e.g. German Sat1). It requires the installation of a Windows-only executable to play video. It promises better video quality I can't tell if its holding this promise but I can tell it's brining discomfort, security and stability issues as well as the loss of customers.
Unluckily I can't do much testing since I am also not inside the USA.

I tested the extension user-agent switch for firefox, but did not work.

The only alternative is you and the community start a campain to claim of ABC.com to make its video system compatible with GNU/Linux.
