Cannot open CD for tour

Asked by silverhair

I am using iolo System Mechanic Pro 9 with their firewall and anti-virus software active. When I put your CD in the drive and restart my computer I get a message that there is a virus active on the CD and the system will not let the autoplay start.

Try changing the boot options in BIOS to boot from CD first.

I went in an turned off the anti-virus, put the CD in the drive and restarted the computer. It picked up the Linux CD and opened it. Now I just need to figure out how to use everything. Is there a way to install Linux on the internal Harddrive without wiping everything on the drive away. I would like to somehow have the option to use either Windows or Linux.

Sure there's a great dual boot page in the help files:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot

Just remember to defragment the drive first.
