Ipod instead of Ubuntu CD

Asked by Kanav

Hi,
I downloaded Ubuntu iso from a mirror site in Germany and successfully burnt it to a CD.
Every time it booted to Ubuntu I got an blank screen and if I tried using the safe mode then it said some resources are missing.

I do not want to get another CD as I can only use USB on my official computer. I was hoping that someone can help me get Ubuntu started using a iPod (it's working as external drive) that I carry daily to office.

Thanks!

Regards,
Kanav

PS: Good work guys, kick MS n Apple to oblivion

hi, this tutorial works for me to install ubuntu on a 1GB flash drive=> http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/02/12/usb-ubuntu-tutorial-for-linux-users/ Please document your experience if you can get Ubuntu on your Ipod :D

And you can also look to http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/01/01/usb-knoppix-510/ a knoppix distro ready to use on a flash drive.
