after makin partiton in ubuntu, i am unable to store the data in that drive

i am having a new version of ubuntu. with the of partion editor , i am trying to make some space in the hard disk but it is not working. i want to have a call from technical dept. so that i can use my hard disk memory.

sir it's on ext3... now the operating system is fine bt i am facing some
problems in loading the .exe files from wine windows loader.
the softeares which we upload does'nt show the html files..
kindly look in the same.

You can not resize partition in use.Boot your live Cd or Gparted live Cdwitch you can download from http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ and with it you will be able to resize your partition.
