Yes. There are plenty of browsers available, and you can use them simultaneously.

But what is your end-goal? Or, put differently, why do you ask the question?

Sometimes I use Epiphany , which I think is a derivate of firefox, you can find it on synaptics.

I use Galeon for some stuff and Firefox for others so that my histories are kept separate. Also i tried a Lynx or something on the command line only and that was good fun :)

by different I mean more than one, just cause some website can't support firefox. I just didn't know you could use other web browsers. Is Internet explorer an available browser?

I would ask... is internet explorer a browser? xD
Sorry for the offtopic :)

You should try that sites with epiphany and galeon, and if didn't work, as a VERY last resort you can run ie on wine

Hi, i would avoid using IE in Wine. Just try this in Firefox. Go up to the menu's and click on

Tools - Add-ons - Get Add-ons

and search for "switcher agent". The first choice that crops up makes Firefox look like IE to those sites, it still looks like Firefox to you but it foold dumb sites that need such security risks as IE. If that doesn't work then there is always the package "ie4linux" but i would recommend the "User Switcher Agent" :)

Oh, i've just noticed that the switcher agent can now also fool sites into thinking you are using an iphone :)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

If the site is broken or is refusing to service Firefox, then Galeon and Epiphany likely won't be much help, as they're based on the same underlying engine (Gecko).

Dillo is a completely different browser, as is Konqueror. (Konqueror uses the KHTML engine, which is closely related to Safari's engine.)

However, if the site does some IE-specific stuff, such as using ActiveX controls, then it's either WINE or use Windows and Internet Explorer.

Gah, forgot to add: But, if the site only checks the string that your browser reports, then Tom's suggestion to fake your representation (User Agent Switcher addon) will work.

ActiveX controls are those controls that keep being found to add extra vulnerabilities to a machine allowing remote attackers to put code anywhere they want on your machine and have it do what they want. 10 vulnerabilities were patched just recently and we are told that there are no more vulnerabilities with it, just as we were told it was all secure last time. Hmmm, i think i will steer away from web-sites that need ActiveX. ;)
