whenever i type glxinfo command in the terminal to check the status of direct rendering,i get this output:name of display: :0.0
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
  Major opcode of failed request: 142 (GLX)
  Minor opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GLXCreateContext)
  Serial number of failed request: 16
  Current serial number in output stream: 17
There was no such problem in ubuntu 6.06.Currently i am using 7.04.What is the problem.I have checked 3 different cds on different computers but the problem persists.

What is you video card, and what driver are you using?

Does 3d acceleration work despite this error?

Intel(R) corporation 82915G/GV/910GL EXPRESS CHIPSET FAMILY,256 MB RAm PENTIUM 4 processor with 3.00 GHZ.I donot know if the 3d acceleration works but i can tell you that when i enable the desktop effects the screen turns blank white.

Did you allocate enough memory for video? The 910 uses shared memory.
