Trying to resolve XP Login Domain issue using Ubuntu...

Asked by blessedone

For professionals w/ experience with XP and Ubuntu Terminal:

I have an OLD desktop with Windows XP on it (Gateway PC, 504MB RAM, approx. 41.1GB hard drive). I was trying to add a Login Domain for the system. In mid-process, the PC was restarted, and now I am unable to log onto XP.
Enter Ubuntu
I am running Ubuntu 9.04 from the install disc, and I am able to access the files on XP. I would like to be able to undo the Domain issue with XP.
Is there anything I can type into the terminal to fix the Login Domain issue?

Remember... You Are Blessed!!! B^D

ps. I'm also relatively new to Ubuntu (~2 mo.) and am quite unfamiliar with the common Linux/Ubuntu lingo...

I dont see how this is an ubuntu problem...
If I get it correct, your trying to resolve a Windows XP installation from Ubuntu Live CD?

I'd suggest you get an Windows XP cd , and choose the repair function provided.

Yes, and then you would need the LiveCd to fix the grub issue

Even just repairing Windows can unfix the grub.
Good luck and regards from
