Gamma rate

Asked by Debbie

I am trying to find the color gamma rate of Ubuntu. I know that windows, which I am running now, is 2.2, and Macs are 1.8. My college uses Macs, which are hooked up to the printers. I am a photo major, which means that any picture I work on at home looks like crap to the Macs on campus. I am hoping that Ubuntu is either adjustable or at 1.8 like a mac.

You should have some software (driver) for your graphics-card where it should be possible to change and adjust the colour features.

For example when I go System-->Administration-->"NVIDIA X server settings" there I have possibility to change brightness, contrast and gamma of the colours together or individually.

Try to find something similar on your computer.
