Packages are not opening

Asked by Prabal pratap singh

Hello Sir/ Ma'am,
I upgraded my Ubuntu OS from 25.04 to 25.10. After upgrading OS some of the new installed packages like "App Center, Security Center, ProxKey Token Tool and ProxKey Diagnostic Tool" are not working. Even they are not opening. When I click on "App Center" the package seems to open in Dock bar but after about 10 seconds it disappears. Same happens with "Security Center".
Actually both the packages were installed with OS upgrade. When "Ubuntu 22.04LTS" was there in my computer I uninstalled "App Center" by mistake. After sometime when I upgraded from "Ubuntu 22.04LTS to Ubuntu 25.04" "App Center" was not installed.
I installed "proxkey_ubuntu.deb" file. The file installed successfully with "Software" package (Alternate to App Center). Two packages "ProxKey Token Tool and ProxKey Diagnostic Tool" were installed (with the same file). But when I click the packages no response is there.
       Thank You.

If you launch them from the terminal, do you get useful output?

Sir,
As you suggested through above answer I ran the command "sudo snap refresh". After that I launched "App Center" through terminal but the result was same as before (no solution). But I got a solution through suggestion as given by you.

i.e.
Go to--
Settings > Apps > App Center > disable opengl

So this solved my problem. (It can't still be launched through terminal.)

Thank you Sir.

Honestly I have no idea what the issue was. I just Googled the messages you saw and found that...
