Ubuntu Software Center doesn't search or display apps

When searching for an app the search icon spins and never shows results.
When selecting a category such as "games' no apps ever show, only blank fields.
What is the solution?

Using an AI, I managed to fix the problem. I am not sure which command fixed it, because after trying several terminal commands I rebooted. After the reboot the Apps showed up.
