Lenovo V130-15IKB kernel 6.8

Asked by urbaman

After updating to 6.8.0-40, my Lenovo V130-15IKB fails to boot with a "nvme failed with error -12" message in dmesg.

Booting on older 6.5.0-45 goes flawlessly.

Is there a driver problem on 6.8.40, will it be addressed, or should I stick to 6.5?

Thank you very much,

I suggest you report a bug with the newer kernel

Before you create the bug report, you should verify, whether the problem is seen also with the newest available version of the kernel, 6.8.0-41.41 and with the one available in -proposed, 6.8.0-44.44
Maybe the issue has already been solved in the newer version.

Hi,

Did not find 6.8.0-41 for 22.04, and 6.8.0-44 has the very same problem.

Shuold I go for a bug then?

If the problem is not solved in the version that is in -proposed, then you should create a bug report.

Can you help with this problem?
