Since upgrade to 24.04 I cannot connect to WiFi except at home

Asked by Ricardo Diamondo

I am having a lot of problems since upgrading to 20.04. My main one is that I cannot connect to WiFi when away from home.
I stayed at 3 properties recently in Northern Ireland whilst on holiday, but could only get WiFi on my phone.
Since my return I have tried again at both my sisters homes (where I could access WiFi previously). But it just will not connect. Very frustrating.
I get the WiFi logo at the top right of my screen, but cannot open any site.
Help please, it's driving me crazy.

The date mentioned is the date I "upgraded" to 20.04
Is there any way that I can revert to the previous OS?

Just for fun I ran the command on my own computer, which also has Wi-Fi issues (luckily I just use an ethernet cable), and the response is really large! Here is just a short excerpt from mine:
