Asked by John Center

My logs are filled with these messages about Nautilus. What's causing this? How can I fix it?

Thanks!

Maybe Bug #1978331

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output that you receive for the following commands (to be executed in a terminal):

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt policy gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng

Does this happen always, or after a specific action (like connecting/disconnecting external monitors, etc.)?

Hi Manfred,

This happens all the time. I have 2 external monitors, connected to a single RX580 GPU. I've had ongoing issues with the gnome-shell, after the monitors turn off. Usually the greeter takes a long time to appear when the monitors are turned on, or it crashes completely.

Yes, while it looks like https://answers.launchpad.net/bugs/1978331, I thought this was fixed? I used to see a lot of messages from the Desktop Icons NG in the logs, so I switched it off.

Thanks for your help!
