failed installation of frostwire program

i tried installing the ubuntu compatible p2p program, frostwire. it downloaded successfully but when i tried to run it using the add program process, it loaded but would not run. anyone experience something similar to this? or do you recommend an alternative to frostwire?

AFAIK frostwire is not in the ubuntu repositories, so I guess you installed the package from http://www.frostwire.com/?
How did you install it?

On the 2nd part of your question, do you mean a torrent client?
In Universe we have Azureus, bittornado, bittorrent, ktorrent, qtorrent and few others.
