Desktop icons not working

I am running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and i recently installed an app that creates a desktop shortcut. The desktop shortcut created by the app does not work and won't open the app itself, even when it is on allowed launching. Any ideas on how to fix it?

If you run the command inside the desktop file on the "Exec=" line, does the application work OK?

What app did you install please?

It does nothing as well.
