Toshiba M115 satellite / wireless lan driver problem with ubuntu 7.04

Asked by shikhar chauksay

Hello,

I have a toshiba M115 satellite. I was able to use wireless lan to access the network when i was using ubuntu 6.01. Recently i installed 7.04, and now it says restricted driver for the wireless lan. i m not able to connect to my network any more with this. I understand that the driver for the device may be a restricted one, but it used to work fine in ubuntu 6.01, why not in 7.04 ? ? Do i have to install a the driver provided by toshiba for this, i haven't got a linux version for the drivers. i have the windows installables. Can i use those somehow??

I am new to Linux, please be considerate.
