Can't login in Kubuntu 9.04.

I installed Kubuntu9.04 and then upgraded by command "sudo apt-get dist-upgrade".
after reboot in logon screen , i inserted my username and password but can't login.
no wrong password message is displayed, just the logon screen blinks and comes again.
