Can i intall Ubuntu netbook remix on sony vaio cs36 notebook which has intel centrino 2 processor

It should work. Just give it a try with a live-cd.
(Ubuntu Netbook remix is not more than a plain Ubuntu with some add-ons.)

We tend to use LiveCd session to include a number of different media that the Live session might be booted up from. In his case it would be a LiveUsb session or DoaS but we still tend to call it a LiveCd session. Just try the boot-menu option to "Try Ubuntu without changes to this machine", this guide might help although it's aimed at Cds rather than Usb stick
