I tried to install Skype for Ubuntu 8.04 but password is required,where can I get one from?

It was written there something about administrative rights,security.Password was required,but I have n clue where to get one from.Thank you for any support in advance.

The password is the one you provided at the installation of Ubuntu (the same one you use to login to your user). Installing software is considered a task for users with administrative rights. The first user in Ubuntu usually has those rights.

If the password asked is before you install skype then it is your administrator password that you might have savd during installing ubuntu. The administrator/root user has the rights to install new softwares on ubuntu. Else it is the skype login password for your account if it comes when you see your skype login.
