"expose" desktop effect

I have heard that there is a desktop effect like mac's expose, any truth in this?
I only have windows wobble and workspace on cube to choose from (feisty fawn)

Yes, it's true. The thing you want is beryl. I think if you choose to install desktop effects option in feisty it uses a different package called compiz that I don't think has the expose feature. There are a lot of how to sites out there for beryl. A good place to start might be here:

Beryl has more features, but Compiz is more stable.
Anyway, they are going to join efforts once again in the next version, and Beryl and Compiz as we know them right now will finish giving birth a new project :-)

I don't think compiz has the expose effect though so if you want that (what the op asked) it will have to be beryl. I've had few to no issues with stability but there are a few options that haven't worked for me. All the "main" ones do.

Compiz *does* have the expose feature. It's called Scale (you can search for it in the compiz settings manager
