Flash CS3 on linux

Asked by vishal khialani

Hi,
I want to use flash cs3 on linux ubuntu. I tried to install it using wine and it did not work and the wine app list also makes it clear that its not supported well.

I am not interested in running a virtual os as it will make my computer slow. I was wondering if there is any other way to get flash cs3 running.

Cheers,
Vishal Khialani

You could pay for Cedega or crossover office. Play on Linux may also help.

Sadly the stuff that windows apps use to run is propietary to Microsoft so is hard to get stuff to run. All apps for running windows apps are a best effort attempt. If Flash CS3 is the main app to be used on your system then you could dual boot. If Flash CS3 is nearly the only app used then I'd stick with Windows as it clearly suits youor needs better.

HI,
Cedega and crossover are both implementations of wine and I searched their site and did not find anything useful.

I will try playonlinux and hope for the best if it does not work then I will just have you use vmware or something like that.

Your feedback was very helpfull,
Cheers,
