Port Forwarding to a Terminal Server

Asked by scooter

Ok, I am a newbie... please be gentle!

I have an ubuntu box as my router at my place. Behind it I have several systems, but the one I need to access is my 2003 terminal server. I have webmin installed and need some step by step instructions on getting port forwarding up on "3389". I tried 3 times with no luck... I removed all my efforts and am frustrated that I can't seem to get it to work on my own. Sorry to be such a knob...

Thanks
Scooter

Sorry that my question is probably over the heads of most everyone on this site... I will try another in hopes to get an answer. When I do, I will post the results for others who may need help with this same issue.

Thanks
Scooter

If you don't use the router system, I would recommend a distro intended specifically to be a router, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_router_or_firewall_distributions

Not that Ubuntu can't be a router, but configuration is easier with a streamlined distro.

Can you help with this problem?
