Privileged Instruction Error Msg

Running Ubuntu 9.04 on a Pentium 400 with 196M Ram.

Installed TeamSpeak and get a Privileged Instruction error message when trying to run it. Anyone know what or why this maybe happening??

Hi :)

I think Ubuntu will be struggling on this amount of ram as it's even lower than min.spec. However installing a much lighter desktop environment (such as Xfce as used in Xubuntu) can totally solve that. There are other things about Xubuntu to make it less ram hungry but that's the one-off biggest hitter for improving things for your machine i think. It's worth continuing to follow ActionParsnips line because the specific issue still needs to be sorted out ;)

Actually Ubuntu runs fine with this amount of RAM, which is not saying more would not be better. I may try Xunbuntu out of curiousity.

As for the error message, it is a pop up window that simples says "Privileged Instruction" and has an OK button to click to remove the message from the screen.
