Ubuntu 9.10 Release

Asked by Rob Frerejean

I type this.

update-manager -d

And the update manager pops up and tells me there is a new release. Is it safe to install it now?

If you are using Ubuntu 9.04 the update will give you an alpha realise which is a version for coders, programmers and testers but not for everyday purpose, you should use the 9.04 release.

Yes you can be a tester but be careful, with the alpha and beta versions the system can crash and you can lose your files.
But if you are using this version just to try it it's great that you use it.

Can you help with this problem?
