how to view a drive in other format

i've a 40 gb hard disc and is split into c drive-9gb,d drive-9gb and e-drive 18gb .
i have installed xp on c drive, and ubuntu(9.04 xubuntu) on d drive . i've all my media on e drive.
can any one give detailed instruction about access the media files....

You can find them under Places on the top panel with names different from Windows. There are no C:, D: etc. drives in Ubuntu.

Try going up to the top taskbar and click on "Places" the different drives will usually be called such helpful things as "16.3 GB Media"
