rhythmbox don't read files correctly

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

i'm a recent user of linux (one week). I want read some files in mp3 but the sound jump always. I think it's maybe a codec problem, it's the same with VLC. Excuse for my english.

hi dude , first thing try to load a mp3 file on the rhythmbox then you have a massage tells you you must have the codecs you find a button called (get this codecs and you only click on it and wait until the codecs downloaded restart and it finished

Hi Elroy,
If I understand you correctly, you can read mp3 files but the sound jumps at some times.
This sounds like an hardware problem (I have the same problem), can you show us the content of the file /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params while playing music ?
My sound hardware seems to have a small buffer which I suspect to be the cause of the music jumps.

Can you help with this problem?
