I am using ubuntu jaunty.

there's a linux folder in the cdrom n within that is a file named "installation.sh"
Here's my console output, any help would be greatly appreciated.

sandeep@Tornado:/media/cdrom0/linux$ sudo ./installation.sh
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

Seems like something that would be good to have.... it appears that Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty) has libgtk-2.0-0, whereas the Oxford installer is looking for the older version. Is there a web site listed somewhere that you can look for an updated installer?

Its the original Oxford cd, i've checked their site, they don't provide updates as it runs fine in windows.

Can't i install the required version of libgtk alongside the version already present?

Clarification:

By "that" i mean, libgtk1.2 installed fine but the installation of OALD is still a problem.
