What is the state of read/write support to hfs+ in ubuntu / linux

Asked by sefs

As of this date what is the state of read/write support to hfs+ from ubuntu.

Is it now reliable to read and write to hfs+ from ubuntu (or linux ) in general?

If so. Can someone give me the steps to perform this without losing mac osx on the hfs+ HD.

Thanks.

do a sudo apt-get install -y hfsplus and you will be able to read and write HFS+ filesystems.

Thanks for your response.

Do I have to disable journaling first on mac ox to accomplish writing or is hfs+ mac osx system with journaling enabled now handled transparently.

Thanks.
