save swf streams

Asked by mas

Hello,

I have Feisty Fawn and would like to save swf streams to a file...what would be the easiest way to do this? I am now using Firefox for the browser.

I'm quite sure you're referring to FLV files (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLV) which mostly are played inside a swf player on a website.

Just have a look to the source code of the website. You only need to download the FLV file. Totem will play it just fine. There are also some Firefox-Plugins around, who offer a semi-automatic download for specific websites. See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search?q=flv&status=4 for a few examples.

I found a Firefox add on called Download Helper. It is working like a dream. Thanks
