unable to boot ubuntu 9.04. mouse inactive

Asked by K Srinivasan

When I select to boot ubuntu it starts and the main menu screen does not appear and the following message appears. The mouse also becomes inactive. The system operates well with windows XP.

Message
" you r system lasted less than 10 seconds . If you have not logged out yourself this could mean that there is some installation faerror or that you may be out of disc space . try logging in with one of the failsafe sessions to see if can fix the problem."

I have been working with ubutu so far well and this problem has cropped only befor two days.

Does it respond to keyboard?

It seems the system interrupts for some reason the session. Similar message appears when I close the session immediately after I login.
Did you provide your Ubuntu enough disk space during installation. Or may be you filled the disk with much of data?

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask K Srinivasan for more information if necessary.
